Pat's Pair Journal

This is my finished journal a collaboration with Lorraine - a mixture of colour and texture
A new and exciting experience for me working as a pair my book was passed between the two of us each adding our own mixed media style and I am delighted with the finished (or is it)? product
Lorraine's book is still a work in progress

Paired journal Lorraine & Pat

I got my journal back from Pat and decided to do a load more pages in it.  I think when I get Pats journal again I will use this method of doing lots of pages at once..by going mad with the paint and then adding lots of layers..rather than just doing 1 or 2 page like I did last time

Pat and Lorraine..some more pages for Pat

Have been playing around with Pats journal recently..so here are some pages I have added
...this page has lots of paint and stamped layers with a fabric print of me and bits of collage all covered with wax..the journalling reads "wotn you join me for a cup of tea or pepsi" as I know that Pat loves pepsi compared to tea!

I started this page by using an old teabag to cover the white then added denim, dyed lace, ribbons, one of my crochet flowers and my latest craze which is wood burning on a small domino piece (you may recognise the invoke stamp I used but then added a pattern around the edges). The focal point is one of my flower paintings printed out onto fabric..hope she likes it.  I have altered some more of the other journal pages but will keep them as a surprise for when we meet up again:)

Pat - Lorraine paired art journal

My colour and texture art journal has been created ..... and some pages prepared for Lorraine's creative input
the cover is a mixture of fabric paper tissue and texture paste with a lining of tyvek inked and stamped

the pages have been left fairly blank - ready for action.  I haven't experienced a shared journal and can't wait to see before and after pictures of each journal

Pair Journal - Lorraine & Pat

I had a surge of creativity today so did loads before it disappears again!!!  I have had one of those acetate chipboard book things for ages so have added canvas pad, watercolour and sketchbook paper to it and it now has approx 20 pages in it.  My theme is layers so had a sudden brainwave to use transparencies on the front...so this is the cover

this is the underneath or second page..to save you craning your neck the journalling reads "just enjoying watching the birds and the wonders of nature taking time for myself just to be me".

this is the third or welcome page for Pat.  Looking foward to what she adds as I love all the layers that she puts in her art..hoping to pass this to her at the Aintree craft show on Friday!  Looking forward to seeing everyone elses journals....
