This is my finished journal a collaboration with Lorraine - a mixture of colour and texture

A new and exciting experience for me working as a pair my book was passed between the two of us each adding our own mixed media style and I am delighted with the finished (or is it)? product

thank you all for having a go at my painting..I particulary like the metal muse bit and the beads added to the dress..she is very elegant and genteel looking unlike me..lol!

Pass the painting

Decided to add some poppy napkins and a gold crown to make her Queen of Poppies..still plenty of scope for further embellishing..

and here she is before her crown..

playing around with paints, stamps and doodling..wanted fresher colours than I have used before

 vintage images from tissue paper added on top of stamped and painted layers

journalling in the layered heart with lots of scraped paint and doodling..these are all unfinished for Pat to add her own bits and pieces or just enjoy as they are...

Pass the Painting

Received Effies pass the painting this morning from Leanne...so imagine this painting with a thick black painted border added by Leanne (my camera somehow deleted the before picture that I took!!)

and this is what I have done as wanted to add an extra turquoise and vintage layer to the top as I know this is one of Effie's favourite colours .still plenty of space to add further focus layers I think.

Pass the painting..another layer

Noticed this painting belongs initially to Nigel so added some blue drip paint to the top to contrast with the orange and some of my husband's guitar strings.  In reference to Nigels love of Hawkwind I have added some words saying Spirit of the Age. I wanted to add a metal skirt at the bottom! but have left that area free for the further layers to be added. Hoping when my original painting comes back it has birds and lots of further layers etc etc added to it as I am not an elegant, jane austen reading wallflower at all..lol!

I got my journal back from Pat and decided to do a load more pages in it.  I think when I get Pats journal again I will use this method of doing lots of pages at once..by going mad with the paint and then adding lots of layers..rather than just doing 1 or 2 page like I did last time

Pass the painting 3rd layer

I got Sami's painting last week so decided to have a go adding a third layer today before the school hols start and I cant do anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have added pictures under the clear discs , some pink ink dribbles and some stamping in the corner.....all ready to pass on to Jean soon for the fourth layer....
