Desert Island Discs - Pat

Procul Harem - A whiter shade of pale

Considering that there's only a couple more swaps to go,
I was amazed that nobody had taken this one!
(maybe I'm the only one who can remember that far back?)

I really enjoyed this one.
I'm not a huge fan of the sixties, but I love the bold bright colours
and the sometimes surreal imagery that was around on posters, LP covers and magazines.
I started with a realistic looking face but decided it didn't fit,
so went for a slightly 'odd' one instead.

  1. Love this, I think you really got that retro feeling of the sixties! And yes, I do remember Whiter shade of pale. Now what does that say about my age LOL!! Hugs Frea

  2. They say if you remember the 60s you weren't there...lol I recall a brief flash of day-glo colors and rock anthems swirling in my head that must be it. Whiter Shade of Pale is one of my favorite lyrical memories. You did a great job of bring back the color and feel. Funny I did a 60's rock poster style picture for Collage Obsession this week too...Great minds and all that.
