Introducing...... Sarah "Flo" Harris

As each new community member signs up, I thought it would be good to have an "Introducing....." post, so that we can learn a little about each other - so here's mine:

My name's Sarah but for as long as I can remember - and I can barely recall why - I've been known in internet circles as Flo (or occasionally as Roo, when Flo was already taken, but let's not confuse the issue :) )

Flo is the name I use on UKScrappers, UK Stampers and Craftster, which are the places I am most likely to have bumped into some of you lot before.

And here's my blog: Are You Flowin'

I've been interested in papercrafts for yonks now - photography was my big thing to start with, which led me to a brief dabble with scrapbooking about 8 years ago or so, and from there on into circle journals, art journals, bookbinding, mail art, embroidery, needle felting, jewellery making, a bit of everything really - I just love to make stuff!

Over the past couple of years I've been increasingly leaning to the arty side, I've even started to draw a bit, which I used to think was beyond me.  Turns out it probably still is a bit out of my league but I enjoy it regardless :)

Collage, stencils and street art are my current obsessions.  This may well change at any minute as I have the attention span of a gnat.

The kinds of projects I'm keen to participate in on this site are mail art, 1 to 1 paired projects, and circle journals.  Maybe some ATC swaps too.

Here are some recent examples of my work - they should give you a fairly good idea of my kind of thang.....

a recent CJ entry based on one of my favourite songs, by Pearl Jam

a set of hand painted and collaged postcards for an international mail art swap

a page from my submission to the 2012 Sketchbook Project (Art House co-op)

And this last one isn't so recent, but he's one of my favourite past creations - please meet Eddie the embroidered alien:

I look forward to getting to know you all and swapping my 'stuff' for your 'stuff' :)
